Cancellation of the 2026 OETZ TROPHY

It is with great regret and deep sadness that we must inform you today that we received notification early this morning that the Ötztaler Ache has been closed to all whitewater activities, effective immediately, starting at river kilometer 35.00.

This decision means that the OETZ TROPHY 2026 cannot take place, and we must cancel the event with a heavy heart.

The decision is completely beyond our control and comes as much of a surprise to us as it does to you. Nevertheless, we cannot hold the event under the current circumstances.

We sincerely thank all participants, volunteers, event partners, and sponsors who have already invested so much time, energy, and trust in the OETZ TROPHY 2026. We apologies for the circumstances and inconvenience caused by this cancellation.

We will contact all registered participants personally via email as soon as possible to inform them of the next steps. Please understand that, due to the current situation, it may take a little longer than usual to respond to emails and other messages in the coming days.

We know how much anticipation, planning, and passion go into participating in the OETZ TROPHY. That makes it even harder for us to share this news.
